I don't know half of you half as well as I should like;
and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Crazy Weekend

Life has been a bit hectic of late. In short we moved back to NY from NC so that I could finish up college. To top all of the insanity off though we had March 2nd. It was my last day at work and my bosses had decided that we would take care of all of my end of my employment stuff in the morning and then they would take my wife and I out for lunch and then I would be free for the rest of the day. This was a nice idea, but sometimes nice ideas go totally wrong.

We decided that it would be best if Sugar dropped me off at work that day and then came back when it was time for lunch (since we only have one car). Soon after I got settled at work I got a call on my cell from none other than the afore mentioned Sugar. Before she had even gotten off the company property, the muffler of the car fell down and scrapped against the side of the wheel.

This put into motion events which led a co-worker to drive me to a Target to get some wire, and me to then spend the morning wiring up my muffler, after which Sugar and I found a place to get it fixed and she drove off to make that happen. Now nearly lunch time I started taking care of the things I was suppose to do on my last day. So much for going home early. Long story short we went and picked up Sugar and got a bite to eat, and she hung out with the car and drove it back to pick me up after it was done. Too bad we had to pay the bill though.

After all that I got an outstanding review from my boss which was awesome and Sugar and I returned back to our apartment to pack our stuff. This was frustrating but it was finally done and we traveled to a friends house to stay the night where we promptly fell fast asleep.

On Saturday we were treated to barbecue ribs, southern style, at a party for us to see us off. It was tons of fun and we come back with fond memories of those we know from down there. Sunday was the trip home and thanks to good traffic we made it in great time. Unfortunately we left 70 degree weather on Saturday to find single digit weather in New York. Thankfully winter is almost over.

Now we just need to pray that Sugar gets a job and that moving into our apartment goes well. The insanity is not over yet.
