I don't know half of you half as well as I should like;
and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Go Colts!

For those of you hiding under logs, the Colts won this big football game that was on TV tonight. I just got back from a very enjoyable Super Bowl party with Christian friends from church. This was also the first time I've seen the big game in HD and I've got to say it is far superior to standard definition that's for sure.

Anyway long story short there were a lot of Bears fans at the party so I laid low most of the evening listening to their whining about Rex Grossman and his fumbling woes and I watched as Peyton Manning meticulously tore apart the Bears highly rated defense and all in all I very much enjoyed the game. It would have been nice to see the teams play in good weather to see what each could really do, but I have a feeling we may have then seen a 400 yard 3 td passing game from Payton, but who knows.

I think the shining moment of everything was when the game was winding down and it looked like the game was over and the announcers began talking about Tony Dungy (coach of the Colts) and how he conducts himself in practice and at games. They spoke of how he never raised his voice or got angry or swore etc etc. Now the announcers just attributed this to him being a nice guy, but when he was handed the Super Bowl trophy he put an end to that when he once again explained about his faith in God and Christianity and Christianity of the Bears head coach as well.

I am just so impressed with how Dungy has handled himself over the years and as much as I was glad to see Payton Manning finally get his super bowl ring, I'm even happier to see Dungy get his. His family has also been through quite a lot and in the end when he has every opportunity to rejoice in all that he has done, he took the opportunity to thank God and humbly take the trophy and hand it to his team. A class act to be sure, and what a testimony to all those out there watching the game.

Yeah Colts! It definitely wasn't the same watching it without my little sisters, though. Oh well.

You remember how we tried to make a 24 segment? It went somewhat well. Some people beat us to the idea. http://www.watching24.com/ctu-the-rookie-chapter-1/

I really wanted the Bears to win, seeing how grossman is prolly the only ex-Gator QB to get passed, say 3rd string, but living in Tampa, I know our SB ring shoulda been on Dungy's finger, not Gruden's. So I was happy either way, but I was thrilled that the 2 coaches with their bold statements of faith- and the fact they didn't just say it, they lived it- was very much discussed before/during/after the game.
