I don't know half of you half as well as I should like;
and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

What Democrats think of our Military

Now I don't want you to think that I'm talking about all Democrats, because I can think of a few who are good for this country and should remain in office, and at the same time I can think of a few Republicans who should not remain in office (probably more than I'd like to admit). Somewhere along the line the Republicans forgot how to be conservative, but that's another rant for another time. All I ask of you today is to read this quote by John Kerry, yes the same John Kerry that lost to President Bush in 2004.

"You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq." - John Kerry
To say that this is disgusting totally understates the issue here. Now as I said this isn't the opinion of every Democrat out there, but Kerry is one of the leaders of the party so to speak and his saying this is almost like he's saying what the rest of the party is thinking. They have been attacking Bush and the Iraq war ever since they thought it was in their political interest to do so. They have put out bad news upon bad news, not because there was no good news to tell, but because bad news sold their agenda. I get the whole political pandering, but I think we need a major change in America, and I don't know exactly how it can happen, but we really need rid of the Democrats, and then in the same breath we need rid of the Republicans - who in even worse form are voted in to be conservative and then just do whatever they please. We need a new party, and we need them to be strong for once.

Well I guess I'll just keep on dreaming.

Sad, isn't it? Funny how every single issue on the table leads back to one political controversy or another (the Iraq war does seem to be a popular one lately). And the phrasing of that quote is absolutely ridiculous, especially for someone who's supposed to be advocating education (perhaps by the exhibition of the lack thereof?).

well that was weird... normally when I click on your username in my subs list, it redirects me automatically to this page... but this time, it took me to an acutal xanga page instead... o_O;

Anyways, wow. One, that quote was way out of line, and two, it wasn't even grammatically correct! Methinks Kerry could use some schooling himself... =P if his quote is true, then why isn't he in Iraq right now?

The government makes me sick anymore... God needs to be brought back into the system, otherwise, we're all doomed...

heh, I didn't realize this at first, but you've got separate comments on that xanga page too... xD

What about the "You Voted Us In Here So We Have To Vote The Way You Would Like And Not The Way We Got Paid Off To Vote" party?

One of my buddies wants to bring in the Christian democrats from Europe. They are morally and socially conservative, and fiscally liberal. I personally think thats a great idea.
I have a few professors that can link anything to the war in Iraq. One guy linked African refugees to Iraq. I don't know how he did it, I just kind of sat there for a few minutes trying to figure it out.

sometimes I wish we were a communist nation . . . only this time it would actually work, unlike Russia, China, Vietnam, North Korea, Cuba and so on and so forth . . .
