I don't know half of you half as well as I should like;
and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
Wow it's been a while since I've posted...I guess I've been out of the "online-community" a bit lately. Sure I'm still on the internet, everyday at work actually, but I just haven't been blogging. I'm sure there's plenty of reasons for this, but I think the biggest is that if I don't find time in my lunch break (which I usually don't), then by the time I get home, the last thing I want to do is type up some political rant about something none of you care about. That and the big stories lately just plain haven't interested me. So instead I'll give you a human interest post about my life for the past month and a half.
Yeah okay so anyone who read this far and is actually interested, by all means keep reading, otherwise post a pointless comment about how it's amazing that I actually posted today. Sugar and I moved down here a week and a half after our wedding, and I think we've finally actually settled in...ironically enough yesterday we got the video of our wedding, which absolutely rocks by the way (side note: it's a few minutes long set to music, if anyone was actually interested I might be willing to share it in some way). Anyway, I think the first thing I noticed about North Carolina is the citizens' driving habits. Basically - they're terrible. Most notably, very few people use turn signals, and it drives me crazy, and no I don't just mean when someone is weaving in and out of traffic, its pretty much everyone and everywhere, they just plain don't use the things.
We've been in search of a church for a while and thankfully two weeks ago we found one that very may well be exactly what we were looking for, which is fantastic. We basically don't know anyone down here and it'd be nice to make a few friends. It's an interesting thing being hundreds miles away from anyone you know. It's also an interesting thing trying to watch movies without a couch. That's probably our most missed item right now. As you might imagine a couch wouldn't fit in my car, so we had to go without and we decided that for only a six month stay it wasn't worth buying one down here - even from good will (which had far too expensive of couches anyway).
It's been an interesting month and a few weeks, it's good to be settled in, and such, but we miss our friends. We're planning a trip back to NY this winter, and we will hopefully see you there (especially if the Lamoka party is planned around the same time), but as for me, I'll be around, catch me if you want to, otherwise...well I guess it doesn't matter much. Have a day all!
you forgot to mention your newfound obsession with BSG :D
Where in NC are you?
... yeah..i cant wait for a new job.. sigh..
thats cool you found a church you like.. rock on with that..

AH!! Curses upon people who don't use turn signals! That's my pet peeve, too . . . and you say this as though there are no bad drivers in NY?
If you're sharing your wedding video, I'd love to see it. Hope to see you at the staff party, or sometime over Christmas Break. Glad to hear things are going well (despite the lack of a couch). =)
I think we got attacked by fire imps
wow it's been awhile, so is the wedding video a movie or film I'm confused... I hope all is going well and I am praying for you two!
