I don't know half of you half as well as I should like;
and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
Yesterday was filled with a most usual set of events except perhaps the power outage at work (wow were people angry when they lost all their work), and of course the fact that myself and several other co-workers went out to eat.
Now going out to eat isn't all that impressive in and of itself and truth be told we weren't exactly going to all that impressive of a place although we did have to put down our daily sodokus to get on the road. When we finally got there, which took about five times longer than expected, we entered what appeared to be a diner dropped right out of the 50's. We sat at stools next to the bar right in front of the ice cream (no not an alcoholic bar, but it's the same concept). We had gone there under the pretense that they made a really good burger and that it was necessary to try one. With that we tried to get over the fact that we were in the middle of hick country and gave our orders to the waitress. The order: 5 Glutton Burgers!
What makes this burger so gluttonous you ask? Well it starts out fairly normal. It's a nice sized bun with some sort of sauce on it (we decided it was mayo with thousand islands dressing or something). Then there's your standard layer of lettuce, tomato, and onions. After that it gets a bit sketchy as to what order everything comes in. There are two burgers; I'm guessing quarter pounders or more. Mixed in between the two burgers and on top of the second one is four pieces of Swiss cheese, and three pieces of bacon. This was seriously one of the few burgers that I've actually been pleased with the amount of bacon. Then on top of that was three slices of ham which filled the entire circumference of the bun. Pilled on top of that is hot sauce, salsa, mustard, and more than likely something else that I'm forgetting.
All I can say is that it was by far the best burger I've ever had and it kind of makes me want to have another one.
Cowboy burger @ Applebees.
Enough said.
(and Bill Grays if you're poor)
I can feel my arteries clogging just reading about it... I'm in WNY until Monday if anyone wants to get together...
Clearly Dan you did not read my post or you would realize that both of those burgers are not nearly as good as what I read.
Nice try though.

ummm, I'm not sure if that burger sounds good or completely disgusting....-Leah
