Lamoka Staff Party 2005

Well here we are at last - year end and with the conclusion of another Lamoka staff party. This time it was back to Mel's church to enjoy said get together, and it of course included to begin with - what else - but volleyball.

Many of you went, some of you didn't -> it was great fun though. I must say its been a long while since I've seen most of the people there and...well yeah it was great to see all ya'll. Perhaps I'll have some pictures to post of the event as soon as I collect them from other people's cameras haha. It was great though to sit down with a group of friends that I haven't seen in a long time and it was like no time had passed. We joked, laughed, played some super awesome games, and just overall had a great time.

Due to the nature of this website I find it necessary to tell of my victory in a particular board game. A while back I reported on how I defeated all others in a game of Lord of the Rings Risk, thus holding on easily to my title of lotr fanatic. Well I've one-uped that yesterday. I played Stretch and Joe in a game of Lord of the Rings Trivial Pursuit, and true to form I won. I'd like to say it wasn't close, but the truth is that Stretch lost by only a little bit...and well Joe was a distant third (he will tell you he was leading at one point which was true). But in the end I reigned supreme and owned them with answers to questions that they would never have dreamed of knowing. Including the answer to the final question "for the win." For those of you interested the question was, "what was the number on Sam's mailbox." My answer and the correct one: "three." Thank you, and goodnight. ;-)

Yes yes, there is no question whatsoever as to your claim to being the "lotr fanatic", but I would like to know how exactly you knew the answer to that question.... or was it just a fortunate guess??? (like... I didn't even know Sam had a mailbox) ;) Keep your smile ~Sugar igapocimm

yes, it was very good to see everyone there....and where would we be without a game of volleyball? we were waiting to see how long it would take you guys to break out the LOTR game and were suprised that one of you didn't get it out sooner.

Glad ya'll (sounds like a southern boy) had a good time. And there has never been a doubt in my mind that you are the true LOTR fanatic!

all i needed was the right roll of the dice... i would have been in like 3.2 lightyears ahead of you.

"Hmm... THings or things?"
"Hmm... THings or things?"
"Hmm... THings or things?"
"Hmm... THings or things?"
"Hmm... THings or things?"
"Hmm... THings or things?"
"Hmm... THings or things?"
"Hmm... THings or things?"
"Hmm... THings or things?"

Lenerd- proof you can be both a winner and a loser at the same time

I like parties, but I don't like pinatas. Becaus the pinata promotes violence against flamboyant animals. Hey, there's a donkey with some pizzaz. Let's kick its butt. What I'm trying to say is, don't make the same Halloween costume mistake that I did.

I use this product called "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter." Because sometimes when I'm eating toast, I like to be incredulous. How was breakfast? Unbelievable.

Whenever I investigate a smell, I find that the answer is always bad. It's never: "What is that? *sniff* muffins!"

If I have to move up in a building, I choose the elevator over the escalator. Because one time I was riding the escalator and I tripped. I fell down the stairs for an hour and a half.

I think that when you get dressed in the morning, sometimes you're really making a decision about your behavior for the day. Like if you put on flipflops, you're saying: "Hope I don't get chased today."

I wanna make a jigsaw puzzle that's 40,000 pieces. And when you finish it, it says "go outside."

Whenever I try to spell banana, it makes me feel stupid. Cause I don't know when to end it. I'm like, how many nas are on this thing? Bana - keep going. Bananana - dang!

AND OF COURSE

'Sort of' is such a harmless thing to say. Sort of. It's just a filler. Sort of - it doesn't really mean anything. But after certain things, sort of means everything. Like after

"I love you"

or

"You're going to live."

(Or the next right)

Ummmmm . . . I was going to say something, but Dan's comment totally confused and befuddled me to the point where the only burning question that remains is: Just how high did you get at this party, Dan?! ;-P
Oh, and good job at reinstating yourself as LOTR fanatic. I'm sure this gives you a great deal of fulfillment.

...

I believe that a re-reading of Tolkien's classic trilogy is in order...enough with the Lost Tales and the immortal Silmarils--the mighty Three Books of Power are calling meeeee....

I'm with Stephanie. I was going to compliment you on being a LOTR nerd, (who outside of you would care what the mailbox number was), but Dan's comments confused me too. I think they were funny, but I lost the LOTR connection. Have a good day. -Daniel

Demetri Martin.
Funny guy.
Incorporated into the drive down to the party.
Spent the night telling his jokes in the appropriate situations while bystanders were like... "duh"

Ummm, I'm not any more clear on the situation, but thanks for trying to explain. =P
