I don't know half of you half as well as I should like;
and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
So ends the Lamoka 2005 season...well mostly. Friday morning I picked up Ohyo from the airport after not seeing him for months. We had some fun times and then headed with Stretch down to camp. Friday night was the harvest banquet and the essential rap-up of the camp season. There is a retreat left to go, and some random churches and other things going on, but usually this banquet is considered the end.
It was sad to see it all end, but it was great to listen to those share about how God worked in their lives throughout the summer and it was great to personally reflect back on how God worked.
We had a bunch of people, including Sugar ;-) who were at the banquet, and we all had a good time hanging out and just doing things. After it was all over we did the dishes and other assorted work related things and got done at 11:00 I do believe. Which was to say in a word, "shocking." Last year I think we finished at around 1:00, and we were figuring that we'd be done at the earliest this year at 12:00. We definitely worked crazy fast, but it helped that Sugar and I had been more use to doing dishes, and that Berber was there to do some pots, and we had a bunch of people doing dining room stuffs, and sorting dishes and such. So basically everyone (except Ohyo and Stretch who were gaming) pitched in. Course then they had the joy of building the camp in CS Source...dag its gonna rock once its done!
At any rate we all stayed up late, and then got up late, and went out to a breakfast that ended at 1:30pm, and we hung out more and parted ways. It was a good weekend, but of course bitter sweet as I had to leave a place so dear to my heart, and leave people who are as well. Anyway - back to life as usual, and we'll see where that takes me haha.
so pete and i did nothing?

lol I wasn't ripping on you and Pete, Dan. I mean you two weren't there to work - but I didn't want to accidentally give you credit for work you didn't do either. ;-)
yeah Tubbs I'll take care of that, sorry about that.
well hey.. i did run sound too. Tho the feedback/keyboard/dying handheld mic battery were all issues
Yeah, for my creative writing class, she has us keep a separate blog for class to make sure we're keeping up with writing stuff. It's cool :)
dang I haven't run sound in forever. I'm like one of those guys you see at concerts with the black tshirt and jeans running around on stage fixing mics stuff :)
Yeah, wish I could have seen you guys, but just couldn't get away for the weekend. Sigh, stupid 300miles....
Yeah well I am pretty much upset at you for not saying "hi" to people. Hahaha. J/k man.
It was a great encouragement to hear the testimonies of people and how God worked in their lives over the summer. Keep that smile of your's, ST ~Sugar
